Terms of Service

Summary: By using BANBAN, you agree to these terms. Please read carefully, particularly the sections on subscriptions, AI content, and limitation of liability.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the BANBAN application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.
2. Service Description
BANBAN is an AI character interaction + task management app. We provide:
- AI character interaction with five predefined characters (Banban, Caicai, Taotao, Lili, Mama)
- Task creation, management, and reminders
- AI-assisted task parsing and breakdown
- Cross-device data synchronization
3. Account
3.1 Account Creation
- You must be at least 14 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Protecting your login credentials
- Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized access
- All activity under your account
4. Subscriptions and Payment
4.1 Free and Paid Tiers
BANBAN offers free and paid subscription plans:
- Free: basic features, with usage limits
- Pro Monthly: higher quotas and premium features
- Pro Yearly: annual plan at a discounted rate
4.2 Payment Terms
- All subscriptions are processed via Apple App Store In-App Purchase
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Renewal charges will be deducted from your Apple ID account within 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Prices may change. Changes take effect in the next billing cycle, with advance notice
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
4.3 Refunds
Refund requests must be processed through Apple App Store. We comply with Apple's refund policy.
5. User Conduct
By using the Service, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Upload malware or harmful content
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Abuse the Service with automated tools
- Attempt prompt injection to induce AI characters to generate sexual, hateful, violent, self-harm, or minor-related content
- Impersonate others or fabricate relationships
Warning: Violating these rules may result in account suspension or termination, with no refund.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
BANBAN and its content (including but not limited to software, designs, text, images, and character figures) are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute this content.
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create (tasks, notes, chat input). You grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content to provide the Service (including transmitting it to a Mainland-China LLM service provider to generate responses).
7. AI Features
7.1 AI-Generated Content
- AI features are powered by the Mainland-China LLM service provider Aliyun Qwen (通义千问)
- AI-generated content is for reference only and does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or any other professional advice
- We are not responsible for the accuracy or appropriateness of AI output
- All AI messages carry a persistent "AI-generated" label
7.2 AI Characters
AI characters are virtual figures whose replies are generated by AI algorithms. Please understand:
- Their "emotions" and "memory" are simulated
- They cannot provide medical, legal, or financial advice
- Conversations with them do not replace real human relationships or professional mental health support
7.3 Content Reporting
If AI-generated content is uncomfortable for you or violates these terms, you can long-press the message and tap "Report". We review and act on reports within 24 hours.
8. Service Availability
- We strive to provide a stable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime
- We may interrupt the Service for maintenance, updates, or force majeure
- We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Service
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our maximum liability shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid in the preceding 12 months
10. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time within the app
- We may terminate your account for breach of these terms
- After termination, your data will be handled per the Privacy Policy
11. Changes
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your region of residence are not affected by these terms. Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation; if negotiation fails, they shall be submitted to a competent court of jurisdiction.
